Barton Creek Resort & Spa, one of Texas' best-known golf resorts, has completed the expansive renewal of its Spa as a major amenity to the 300-room resort in the Texas hill country outside of Austin.
"Our goal was to create a spa experience that calms the mind, while relaxing and rejuvenating the body," said Spa Director Mary-Frances Pina. "We have professional therapists who have been with us for more than 10 years and have extensive training and experience. We're extremely excited to enhance our facilities to showcase their talents."
Pina said the final series of renovations focused on the wet area and locker rooms, including a redesigned ladies' wrap room to create more privacy and easy access to the wet area, a redesigned Vichy shower room, and renovated and redesigned steam rooms and whirlpools for ladies and men.
Pina said the allow the Spa to provide more of its popular signature body treatments including the Texas Margarita Salt Glow, Texas Ruby Red Grapefruit scrub and Texas Mountain Laurel Body Wrap. Barton Creek last year added a private reception area, additional treatment rooms, men's and
women's private waiting areas, expanded locker rooms and new d?cor to the Spa. The spa's 24 treatment rooms include massage and facial studios, a loofah room, and one dual massage studio for couples.
In addition to the Spa, Barton Creek features four golf courses -- the Fazio Canyon and Foothills courses, the Palmer Lakeside course and the Crenshaw Creekside course.
The Fazio Foothills course re-opened this past fall after it was upgraded with new fairway and tee grass and lengthened by nearly 200 yards to make it play 6,956 yards, par 72.
