LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Groundbreaking has taken place at Los Valles Golf Club, the first facility to boast an Arnold Palmer Signature course in the greater Los Angeles area. Construction will begin later this spring and completion is set for March of 2008.

The 6,700-yard, par-71 layout will traverse varied canyon and meadow terrain of the Hasley Canyon area about five miles north of Valencia Country Club near Magic Mountain, and will feature a practice green, driving range and clubhouse. The club will offer private memberships and be open to public access.

The development is planned for 209 homesites, with custom lots ranging in price from $600,000 to more than $1 million, and varying in size from ½ acre to and more than an acre.

Los Valles is a family-centered development, and also will contain a system of both equestrian and hiking trails, generous open space, neighborhood parks and a recreational complex that will feature tennis courts, high-end swim and athletic club and a children's recreational area. Memberships will begin at $45,000.
