The 250-room Diablo Grande hotel is slated to open in 2006 at the Diablo Grande community in Patterson, Calif.

Diablo Grande is a 33,000-acre master-planned community located in the ranchlands of western Stanislaus County. The community's developers have set aside more than 16,000 acres (63 percent of total acreage) as a permanent wildlife habitat in order to preserve and enhance the scenic beauty of this magnificent property.

Diablo Grande features two golf courses -- the highly-regarded Legends West course by Jack Nicklaus and Gene Sarazen and the Ranch by Denis Griffiths. The Diablo Grande Winery, meanwhile, has won multiple awards for its estate-bottled Merlot, Cabernet and Chardonnay.

In addition to the hotel, plans call for the community to have a Ch?teau ?lan Spa, equestrian center, tennis center and additional golf courses.

All the wines from Diablo Grande are grown, produced and bottled on winery property with 6,000 to 7,000 cases produced each year.
