Northern Idaho's famed Coeur d'Alene Resort, perhaps best known for its floating green, is undergoing a significant transformation this fall, with a larger spa facility being created for a scheduled opening next spring. Under the direction of Tag Galyean, and the TAG Studio, a leading designer of resort spas, the resort is expanding to include therapy rooms centrally located on the first and second floors of the 337-room hotel. Coeur d'Alene Resort officials said the expansion will allow for triple the current capacity for treatments, with a total of 21 rooms, eight manicure/pedicure stations overlooking Lake Coeur d'Alene, a hydrotherapy and massage component and a couples massage room. "There are so many new components of this spa, it's almost as if we were starting with a clean slate," Galyean said. During the renovation process, The Spa will continue service in a temporary salon.
