Troon Golf of Scottsdale, Ariz., has signed on to manage the golf operations at Praslin Heights, a new 554-acre destination on the eastern shore of St. Lucia. Phase I of the multi-phased project developed by DCG Properties Limited, will include an International-branded luxury hotel, a Greg Norman signature design golf course, health spa, casino, conference facilities and 100 private residences as well as an enclave of signature homes, each situated to offer beach, ocean and rainforest views. The course and hotel are scheduled to open in March 2007, to coincide with the World Cricket Championship held in the Bahamas and West Indies. Phase II will feature a 40-bed boutique hotel together with a marina and marina village. The final phase will include future real estate development including signature buildings and a gated community. One of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, St. Lucia is located midway down the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St. Vincent, and north of Barbados. St. Lucia is only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide. The Atlantic Ocean is on its eastern shore, while the beaches of the west coast are along the Caribbean Sea. Copyright 2005 PGA.com.
