Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is set to open its doors in mid-December

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands -- The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is set to open its doors to the public on Dec. 15, resort officials have announced. The $500-million, 365-room property is located on Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman.

The resort features a Greg Norman-designed nine-hole golf course called Blue Tip. Overlooking the course are the Blue Tip Suites, which provide sunrise views of the golf grounds, winding waterways and the North Sound. These 960-square-foot suites have two 75-square-foot terraces, 1 1/2 baths and a separate living area with French doors.

In all, the resort features 365 guestrooms and suites; The Reserve offering residential accommodations within the resort; the first La Prairie spa in the Caribbean; five dining venues, including two restaurants by Eric Ripert of top-ranking New York restaurant Le Bernardin; several bars and lounges; Avenue 5, an exclusive shopping arcade; the island's largest ballroom; a tennis center by Nick Bollettieri; Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau family program and the golf course.

Situated on 144 acres stretching sea-to-sea from the acclaimed Seven Mile Beach to the North Sound, the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman blends a lush Caribbean backdrop with classic British-Colonial architecture.

Oceanfront rooms have panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, Seven Mile Beach and the oceanfront pool. The Waterway rooms on the North Sound side of the property have views of Blue Tip, the Waterway pool, the Great Lawn or the resort waterways that wind throughout the property.
