Parry and Kingston make big jumps in the final world rankings of 2007

Craig Parry of Australia soared up 157 places to No. 122, while South African James Kingston jumped 195 spots.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Sports Network) -- Craig Parry, who won the Australian Open, and James Kingston, who claimed the South African Airways Open, over the weekend, both made big moves in the final official world golf ranking of 2007.

Parry won by a single stroke over three players and soared up 157 places to No. 122 in the rankings. Kingston jumped 195 spots to No. 155 this week.

At the top of the rankings, the only change from last week was Ernie Els of South Africa moving up one to fourth. That knocked Steve Stricker down to fifth. Justin Rose of England, Adam Scott of Australia, Padraig Harrington of Ireland, K.J. Choi of Korea and Vijay Singh of Fiji rounded out the top 10.

The next 10 remained the same as a week ago with South African Rory Sabbatini followed by Spaniard Sergio Garcia, Australian Geoff Ogilvy, Angel Cabrera of Argentina, Zach Johnson, Henrik Stenson of Sweden, Luke Donald of England, Aaron Baddeley of Australia, Trevor Immelman of South Africa and Niclas Fasth of Sweden.

On the women's side, Annika Sorenstam closed 2007 with a win over the weekend at the Dubai Ladies Masters that helped her close in on second-ranked Karrie Webb.

Webb remains No. 2 behind Lorena Ochoa of Mexico. Sorenstam was 0.21 average points behind Webb last week, but after the win is now 0.02 points behind the Australian.

After that, there was no change to the top 20. Suzann Pettersen of Norway is still fourth and was followed by Cristie Kerr, Paula Creamer, Juli Inkster, and Koreans Ji-Yai Shin, Mi Hyun Kim and Se-Ri Pak.

The next 10 stats with Korean Jeong Jang trailed by Morgan Pressel, Momoko Ueda of Japan, Jee Young Lee of Korea, Stacy Prammanasudh, Brittany Lincicome, Ai Miyazato and Sakura Yokomine of Japan, Korean Seon-Hwa Lee and Shiho Oyama of Japan.
