DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Iben Tinning shot a 5-under 67 Saturday to take a one-shot lead after the third round of the Dubai Ladies Masters, the season-ending tournament of the Ladies European Tour.
Tinning is at 9-under 207 going into Sunday's final round and is being chased Annika Sorenstam and Laura Davies in second place.
Sorenstam, who is looking for her first win of the year after battling injuries, had a bogey-free 68 while Davies missed a chance to take the lead by making a triple bogey on the par-5 13th in her round of 71.
Veronica Zorzi (70) is also tied for second at 208.
Louise Stahle, who took the first-round lead after a course-record 64, is four shots back in fifth place after a 73.
Overnight leader Lisa Hall also slumped, making two double bogeys for a 77 to slip to eighth place at 213.
Tinning, who won the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit in 2005, did not want to put pressure on herself ahead of the final round.
"I've got no expectations of myself. Ill just try and go out there and make as many birdies as I can," said Tinning, who started her final round with a bogey. "There are some fantastic players right behind me, so it definitely won't be easy. Whatever has to happen, will happen."
Sorenstam said she benefited from making a minor change to her swing after talking with her coach Henri Reis.
"It's probably not much, but I have to keep fine-tuning my swing after the neck injury. I was just trying to keep my shoulders square and hips slightly more open at the point of impact," Sorenstam said. "I was quite pleased with my round and I feel like I hit some good shots. I feel like I've still got some work to do, but I'm hitting some good shots and that's what matters."
Davies made her second eagle in three days on the par-5 third hole, but the triple bogey on the 13th disrupted her momentum just as she was building up a nice lead.
"It is looking like a four-way shootout because a one-shot difference between the four of us is nothing," Davies said. "I just have to be very aggressive tomorrow, make lots of birdies, and try not to make too many mistakes to win it."
Meanwhile, Sophie Gustafson looks set to win the Order of Merit title. Gustafson is currently second on the money list behind Bettina Hauert and is at 2 under for 12th place in the tournament. Hauert shot an 81, putting her in last place.
Boosted by an eagle from tap-in range at the long third, Davies surged into the early lead in the third round but her triple-bogey 8 at the long 13th curbed her momentum.
At unlucky No. 13, Davies hit a 5-iron second shot into water and then duffed a chip back into the drink.
"It was hard to take," she admitted. "I wanted a second eagle, but the wind had got up and it was a little difficult to judge. "I was going to take 4-iron and then chose the 5. Then I dropped into a sandy lie and just duffed it back into the water. But I was pleased to come back with two birdies (at the 15th and 18th)."
