PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Rain once again suspended play at the 19th Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship. At 5:02 p.m., players were called in due to heavy rain and were not able to return. Only 20 players had finished their third rounds. Bob Ford, PGA Head Professional at Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club and Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Fla., aced the 4th Hole on the Wanamaker Course early in the third round. Ford used a 6-iron from 174 yards. Players are set to return to the Wanamaker Course at 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning to finish their third rounds. The final round of the Callaway Golf PGA Senior PGA Professional Championship is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow for players who have completed their third round. Complete coverage and scores will be posted as soon as the third round is completed Sunday morning. Callaway Golf is in its sixth year as the title sponsor of the Senior PGA Professional National Championship. The low 35 finishers will qualify for the 2008 Senior PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club [East Course] in Rochester, N.Y. The top eight finishers, including ties, will receive exemptions into the 2008 Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional Championship. In addition, the top 10 finishers will be exempt into the Champions Tour National Finals at TPC Eagle Trace, provided they have filled out an entry by the deadline.
