PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- The PGA of America and Association of Golf Merchandisers are collaborating to create a new Product Preview and Buyers Reception at the 55th Annual PGA Merchandise Show on Wednesday evening January 16, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. in Hall F of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

As an exclusive opportunity for PGA Professionals and golf buyers to preview the vast variety of fashion and accessories on the Show floor, the Product Preview and Buyers Reception is being organized to include a product preview exclusively by AGM vendor partners and an industry reception. Additionally, a fashion show and an evening concert will be presented by Puma.

This newest special event provides yet another compelling reason to attend the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show, where golf's influential buyers and PGA Professionals will be exposed to the hottest trends in golf from the world's largest collection of golf manufacturers. This year's PGA Merchandise Show will offer an unparalleled array of business tools for all sectors of the golf business in 2008.

The Product Preview and Buyers Reception is introduced at a time when the PGA Merchandise Show is experiencing a resurgence in golf fashion and accessory vendors already featuring more than 200 top names in fashion including adidas, Antigua, Ashworth, Bette & Court, Bobby Jones, Carnoustie, Como, Cutter & Buck, E.P. Pro, Fairway & Greene, Gear For Sports, Greg Norman Collection, Izod G, Jamie Sadock, Lily Pulitzer, Ping Apparel, Polo Golf, Puma, Tehama, Tommy Bahama and more.

"There are so many companies to choose from and the PGA Merchandise Show is a perfect opportunity for me to see and compare a wide variety of traditional and boutique offerings," said Melissa Dempsey, a 2006 AGM Top Retailer and retail manager of Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, Mass. "I fill my days from morning through night finding new vendors, previewing collections, catching the fashion shows, attending seminars and networking to stay on top of the latest trends. I'd be missing out on all of this if I wasn't there."

The PGA Merchandise Show returns to Orlando one week earlier than usual, Jan. 17-19, boasting more than 1,200 leading golf companies, 10 miles of exhibit aisles and more than 44,000 industry leaders at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Market leaders such as Callaway, PING, Nike, adidas, the Titleist Performance Institute, Cutter & Buck, Antigua, Bridgestone, Gear For Sports, Tehama and many more are among golf's top participating vendors at the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show. The game's most influential leaders including executives from worldwide PGAs, global golf companies and national golf organizations join grassroots PGA Professionals and retailers to amass more than 44,000 attendees focused on growing the business of golf. Interactive exhibits, product testing, education seminars, fashion shows, industry awards, trend reports, professional networking, merchandising workshops, best practices presentations and more pack unprecedented value into the industry's biggest week of golf business. Additional announcements regarding new and enhanced PGA Merchandise Show programs will be made.
