Former PGA of America District Board Member Jerry Ray dies at 63

Jerry W. Ray, longtime PGA member, died Oct. 7. A service will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, at 10:00 a.m.

PGA Master Professional Jerry W. Ray, owner and director of golf at Paradise Valley Golf Course in High Ridge, Mo., passed away suddenly, Sunday, Oct. 7.

Ray was elected to PGA membership in 1975 and served as District 7 Director from 1992-94. He also served as President of the Gateway PGA Section from 1987-1988. Ray, a PGA Quarter Century member, was inducted into the Gateway PGA Hall of Fame in 2004.

Ray is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Shannon and Erin. He is preceeded in death by a son, Jeremy.
