PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Forty more certifications were attained by 29 PGA Professionals through the most recent round of testing in The Professional Golfers' Association of America Certified Professional Program. The candidates passed the PGA ProFiciency Test on Aug. 27, with Nibby Musso of Peoria, Ariz., gaining certification in a sixth career path.
Additionally, Kurt Greve of Palm Desert, Calif., earned certification in three career paths in the recent testing period.
This year's Certified PGA Professionals (see complete list below) now total 140, with testing from January through Aug. 27.
Musso, 44, is the PGA director of golf at Paradise Valley Park Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz. He earned his sixth PGA Certification in Executive Management. Musso was elected to PGA membership in 1988, and has worked at Paradise Valley Park Golf Course since 1994. He was named PGA director of golf in 2002.
Greve, 40, is the general manager at Blue Shark Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas. He achieved his certifications in Retail, General Management and Golf Operations after taking the Aug. 27 ProFiciency Test.
Since the program's inception in August 2004, 316 PGA Professionals have earned a total of 521 certifications in related career paths, including General Management, Golf Operations, Instruction, Retail, Executive Management and Ownership/Leasing.
The PGA Certified Professional Program is an online, career-enhancing educational curriculum that supports PGA Professionals committed to continuously enhancing their golf-management skills. The program enables PGA Professionals to participate in a structured curriculum designed to help them stay ahead of the quickly evolving and increasingly demanding world of the golf industry.
