The PGA Championship Exhibit - A History of the Season's Final Major opens to the public at the Rochester (N.Y.) Museum & Science Center on Apr. 25. The exhibit runs until Aug. 31 and will give visitors a glimpse of golf artifacts from past PGA Championships.

A private ribbon-cutting ceremony on Apr. 24 launched the exhibit's stay. The 85th PGA Championship will be held Aug. 14-17 at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester.

The PGA Championship Exhibit - A History of the Season's Final Major tracks the history of this event, from the very first Championship in 1916 won by Jim Barnes, to the most recent victory by Rich Beem. All 84 Championships are represented in the exhibit, which features a wide variety of golf treasures, from Walter Hagen's walking stick and Sam Snead's hat to Gene Sarazen's niblick and Jack Nicklaus' putter.

Beem, the 2002 PGA Champion, will visit the exhibit to unveil his commemorative frame from the 84th PGA Championship during a special ceremony June 30. The PGA Championship Exhibit - A History of the Season's Final Major debuted in Louisville, Ky., in 2000 and travels to each host PGA Championship city.

Admission to the museum and the PGA Championship exhibit is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children ages 3-18, and free for children under 3 and RMSC members.
