Better Golf Through Technology Conference coming up this month

Top teaching professionals, researchers, media, and equipment manufacturers to re-convene at MIT for unique conference.

BOSTON -- Better Golf Through Technology, a non-profit organization that sponsors research and education focused upon the impact of technology upon the game of golf, has released its full agenda for the Second Annual "Better Golf Through Technology" Conference will be held on the campus of MIT in Cambridge, Mass., on March 29 and 30.

Speakers this year will once again include many of the top names in golf instruction, including: Rick Martino, Eric Alpenfels, TJ Tomasi, Jim Suttie, James Leitz, David Orr, and David Edel. Also speaking this year will be many technology companies and researchers, including Tom Harper and Erin Schmidt from the Sports Technology Group at Loughborough Univesity, Tom Mase from the California Polytechnic State University, Dan Goldstein from Sports Balance Technology and Steve Atherton from GolfTEC.

The topics will range from physical and mental fitness to technique and learning processes. TJ Tomasi and Jim Suttie will present "No Backswing or Backswing" and investigation into the effect of removing the backswing. Eric Alpenfels will examine how two different turning drills change a player's swing. Tom Harper will present "A 3D Kinematic Investigation of Golfers' Delayed Wrist-Release." More presentation topics can be found at www.bgtt.org.

The conference will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29 with check-in and breakfast, and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. on March 30.
