Proderma Products, LLC -- maker of sun and skin-care products formulated specifically for golfers -- is introducing its broad-spectrum, SPF 15 and SPF 45 sunscreens.
The new formulas round out the Proderma line of botanically enriched sunscreens, which now includes SPF 15, 30, 45 and the enhanced Prism, which recently rated as an SPF 50.
Proderma said its sun and skin care suite now features 13 products, including Windscreen, Hand Lotion, SPF 18 Facial Moisturizer, SPF 18 Body Lotion, SPF 30 Lip Balm, SPF 30 Face Stick, Burn Gel, Moonscreen (works overnight for morning tee times), and DEET-based Bugscreen.
The SPF 15 is a broad-spectrum formula containing UVA-absorbing Parsol 1789, officials said. Proderma SPF 15 contains moisturizing shea and cocoa butter, as well as pomegranate, lycopene and green tea extract for maximum skin conditioning. Fortified with vitamins A, C and E, Proderma said, SPF 15 is non-greasy, non-sticky and PABA-free and carries a suggested retail price of $4.50 (2 oz.) and $9.50 (4 oz.).
The SPF 45, according to Proderma, is a broad-spectrum, quick-drying formula built on its proprietary Prism platform (containing ABS-ZN45 technology including transparent zinc oxide for maximum UVA and UVB protection). Proderma said SPF 45 features the same natural moisturizing agents as SPF 15.
Also fortified with vitamins A, C and E, SPF 45 is aloe vera-based, PABA-free, and sweat and water resistant. The SPF 45 carries a suggested retail price of $6 (2 oz.) and $11 (4 oz.).
