The clubhead design and the name are familiar, but the golf company is just starting to make a name for itself. That name is Trinity Golf. Its new family of wedges bears the familiar design of the original Ping Eye irons, while their designer, Les Miller, honed his craft alongside the fabled Roger Cleveland at Cleveland Golf.

"I think everybody assumed I was going to make a Cleveland-type of wedge,'' said Miller, who spent 14 years at Cleveland Golf on the design and marketing sides. "There are still a lot of golfers who want (this clubhead design) of wedges.''

What Miller, now Vice President of Sales and Marketing as well in charge of research and development for Trinity Golf, has designed in the Trinity Golf TG 02 Spin Action Wedges is a combination of the best of the Ping Eye 2 wedges and Cleveland wedges, with an emphasis on grind.

"I just ground the heel down a bit more so you can open it up and make it a bit more versatile than the original,'' Miller said. "It's the sole's width, camber, bounce and, most importantly, the way these features are blended together that gives them their distinctive appearance, performance and versatility."

The TG 02 Spin Action Wedges are available in two materials -- carbon steel that features a "cobalt" finish that Miller said will wear over time to enhance feel and spin control and beryllium copper that Miller said offers superior the feel and consistency.

The TG 02 Spin Action Wedges are available in gap (52-degree), sand (56-degree) and lob (60-degree) models. The suggested retail price is $89.95 for carbon steel and $99.95 for beryllium copper.
