KZG has expanded its hand-crafted forged wedge series, company officials have announced. The complete line-up now includes six different lofts in right hand: 50 degrees, 52 degrees, 54 degrees, 56 degrees, 58 degrees, 60 degrees; and 3 lofts in left hand: 52 degrees, 56 degrees, 60 degrees.

The feel and playability of KZG forged wedges and irons can be attributed to the time and cost intensive measures KZG takes in the forging process, officials said. Premium carbon steel bars are heated to 1,200 degrees Centigrade and placed into tooling dies to sustain a 1.3 ton air stamp hammer forging.

After cooling, the heads are trimmed and blasted to remove burrs. The heads undergo yet a second forging: heated to 800 degrees Centigrade, forged under a .5 ton air stamp, cooled, and blasted again to remove burrs. This second forging eliminates all voids in the steel and ensures extraordinary consistency.

Each forged wedge is available in both a high polish nickel chrome or raw finish. The new lofts are available now through authorized KZG Dealers with a suggested retail price of $89 per club with steel shafts and $99 with graphite shafts.
