ORLANDO -- TaylorMade-adidas Golf's new RAC LT (relative amplitude coefficient / lower trajectory) iron line is engineered to deliver an exceptional combination of power, feel, forgiveness and head-turning looks. The LT introduction here at the PGA Merchandise Show coincides with TMaG's launch of the RAC OS (oversize) irons.

The LT, according to TMaG officials, features a lower launch angle and medium-height trajectory; expanded sweet spot and increased forgiveness of a cavity back along with the feel, feedback and workability of a forged blade.

The LT iron also incorporates several specific design elements that differentiate it from the rac OS. According to company officials, they include a sleek top-line; a strong, blade-like appearance at address; minimal offset; and standard head size.

Like the RAC OS, the RAC LT incorporates RAC Technology, which company officials said was developed when TaylorMade engineers applied science to the study of wedge design, and created their tour-proven rac wedges. RAC technology, according to TMaG officials, incorporates "Feel Pockets" that are precision-milled into specific positions in the back of the clubhead. Feel Pockets, they said, channel impact energy to specific areas of the clubhead, promoting a soft-yet-satisfying feel.

The RAC LT irons are made of 431 stainless steel will be offered in 2-PW, AW, SW (right- and left-handed), with four available shaft flexes in graphite (L, M, R, S) and two in frequency matched Rifle Steel (R, S). Suggested retail price is $900 (steel) and $1,100 (graphite).

"While the rac OS iron places an emphasis on power, the RAC LT is a more workable club that combines power with the kind of lower ball flight that many players prefer," said Sean Toulon, vice president of global product and brand creation for TaylorMade. "No other iron offers a better blend of all-around performance, technology and classic good looks."
