Cleveland Golf is rolling out its new line of TA2 Micro-Cavity irons, company officials have announced. They are specifically designed with the avid golfer in mind and are ideal for the low to mid-handicapper searching for a club with the forgiveness of a cavity back and the workability of a blade.

These moderately perimeter-weighted irons incorporate Cleveland's patented design with slots in the topline for added forgiveness and a low center of gravity. The reduced weight in the top of the clubhead is redistributed to the lower perimeter, while maintaining the clubs' ideal swingweight, officials said. This helps create a larger sweet spot as well as a more stable clubface at impact.

The design of the TA2 combined with Cleveland's patented Vibration Absorbing System (VAS) also helps reduce vibrations from impact by forcing them to move through the clubhead in a vastly shorter period of time. This drastic reduction in vibration makes the TA2 one of the most solid-feeling irons on the market, they said.

The TA2 irons are now available in select golf shops nationwide. They carry a suggested retail price of $890 for a standard set of eight irons with Dynamic Gold shafts.
