AccuFLEX Golf, Inc. is introducing a 50-inch version of its original 57-inch driver used to win last year's 2002 ReMax World Long Drive Championship, company officials have announced. Because most competitive professional long drivers compete with drivers that are 50 inches or less, they said, this new Assassin shaft should suit many more of the sport's competitors.

"We have been inundated with requests from long drive (competitors) for a 50-inch Assassin ever since Carl Wolter won the 2002 ReMax World Long Drive Championship," said Steve Zunich, AccuFLEX Golf's Director of Sales and Marketing. "After several design modifications and much testing, we are very happy with the performance of this new shaft."

The feel and distance-enhancing performance features that made the original Assassin a success, Zunich said, have been incorporated into the 50-inch, 75-gram model, which features AccuFlex's A2 advanced design composite.

"We have never pre-sold so many long drive shafts in our history,'' Zunich said. "I am certain that this will become our best selling long drive shaft ever."
