Wilson Golf's new Python Golf Bag models will be available Sept. 1, company officials have announced. Featuring five patents, they said, the bags are the most stylish, comfortable, versatile and technologically advanced bags in company history.
Highlighted by a new Diamond 14-Club Divider, the Python will be available in carry and cart models. The new patented diamond-shaped holders in the Diamond 14-Club Divider force the clubs to fall into a "locked" position, officials said, unlike most club dividers with round or square club holders that allow clubs to slide and rattle as they are carried. This advancement, they said, provides better club organization, better club protection and better weight distribution.
Introduced a year ago, the patented Swivelmax strap design system in the Python Carry Deluxe defines the latest and greatest in ergomatic strap technology, Wilson officials said.
With its motion adjusting technology in the double-strap configuration, the Swivelmax is able to adjust to the movement of a person walking a full round of golf, while at the same time maintaining the weight distribution of the bag evenly between both shoulders. The Swivelmax, according to Wilson, can easily be converted into a single strap.
Other features of the Python Carry Deluxe include Wilson Golf's patented Quick Hood, built into a top pocket that protects clubs in inclement weather, and a ball drop pocket that allows golfers to keep balls close at hand for easy access. There are seven pockets, one detachable for use as a bag pack. The bag weighs 6.3 pounds and comes with a stand lock.
The Python Cart Deluxe, which is available in men's and women's models, comes with the patented Triple V Cavity Strap that contours around the shoulder for ultimate comfort. The cart models also feature the Quick Hood, the ball drop pocket, and 13 pockets with the detachable mini-bag pack.
Each Python Cart Deluxe bag has two positions to store an umbrella, one at the back with a sleeve for traveling or storage, and one at the front for easy access during play.
The Python Carry Deluxe has a suggested retail price of $139.99, and is available in Classy Black, Classy Navy, Sporty Black Gold and Sporty Blue. The Python Cart Deluxe retails for $159.99, and is available in Classy Black, Classy Navy and Country Club.
