MacGregor Golf is launching a new line of outerwear that will be available in September, company officials have announced. MacGregor's Tourney Dry Liner technology combines total waterproof protection with active comfort for improved playability.
"TDL technology is an innovative system that offers superior waterproofing, breathability and warmth for changing weather conditions," said MacGregor Chief Executive Officer Barry Schneider. "The balance of all-weather fabrics and maximum comfort designs makes this outerwear the softest, lightest and quietest, on and off the course."
Tourney Outerwear comes with MacGregor's two-year waterproof guarantee and is offered in an assortment of contemporary colors. Additions to Tourney Outerwear include the J-I-C (Just-In-Case) Kit, P2P (Players?'2-Ply) Rain Suit, TDL Short Sleeve Pullover and TDL Full-Zip Wind Vest.
The Tourney J-I-C Kit, according to MacGregor, features an all-weather pullover rain shirt and matching bucket-style hat rolled in a convenient stow bag. Both the pullover and hat are water- and wind-proof and lightweight. The J-I-C Kit comes in black, chalk, acorn, delta blue, red and maize with a suggested retail price of $149.99.
The P2P Rain Suit is a versatile, multi-layered microfiber jacket and pant. Designed for changing weather conditions, the P2P converts to a short-sleeve jacket and shorts with snap-off sleeves and legs. The jacket, according to MacGregor, maximizes comfort and protection with adjustable snap cuffs for a personalized fit, front and back vents for greater circulation when twisting, and a high back storm collar to keep the rain out.
The pant features an adjustable inseam on size large to 30-31-32 inches, and the 12-inch leg zippers with storm flaps provide easy on and off over golf shoes. Priced at $283.98 suggested retail, MacGregor said the P2P Rain Suit is the lightest, most breathable shell fabric in the game today. Color choices include black, black/chalk, black/acorn and acorn.
The Tourney's TDL Short Sleeve Pullover features a radial player's sleeve the company said maximizes range of motion and flexibility in arm movement, and the zippered side gussets allow for custom fit at the waist. The Short Sleeve Pullover is priced at $109.99 suggested retail and comes in a variety of contemporary colors such as maize, red, delta blue, acorn, chalk and black.
The TDL Full-Zip Wind Vest, according to MacGregor, has narrow armholes to prevent rain from coming in, and the inner storm flap provides extra protection over the front zipper. The Tourney Wind Vest is available in delta blue, acorn, chalk and black and priced at $93.99 suggested retail.
