Continuing to expand its color-coded equipment line for junior golfers, U.S. Kids Golf has added Yellow, Lime and Mango systems. The additions give USKG eight color systems to match kids' height, strength and experience levels.
As part of the introductions, USKG is reintroducing its Green system with a new cavity back design for irons and adding a Yellow line for boys.
To complete the girls' line introduced last spring with Pink and Lavender, the company is adding two new options: Lime and Mango clubs that match the specifications of the Green and Yellow sets, respectively.
"Our goal is to have a club offering that meets the precise needs of every boy and girl entering the game," said Dan Van Horn, president and founder of U.S. Kids Golf. "We know girls need quality equipment but often prefer different color options, just like in clothing. These bright, colorful additions bring new excitement to young golfers and really stand out in golf shops."
Green system irons, according to Van Horn, have a new cavity back design and a lower center of gravity that produce a larger sweet spot. Heads on the system's metal woods have been enlarged, and both woods and irons have a slightly stiffer shaft flex.
Green system clubs are 25 percent lighter than adult clubs and are designed to help beginning golfers and those with less upper-body strength learn the proper swing, Van Horn said. The system includes a Ti-insert driver, 3-wood, 5-wood, 4-hybrid, 5-9 irons, pitching wedge, sand wedge and two putter styles.
The Yellow system, Van Horn said, is designed for beginner to intermediate players 4-foot-10 to 5-foot-6. The system includes a Ti-insert driver, 3-wood, 5-wood, 3-hybrid, 4-9 irons, pitching wedge, sand wedge and three putter styles.
Green and Yellow stand bag sets including 3-wood, 6-iron, 8-iron, wedge and putter have a suggested retail price of $139.99.
