Me and My Arrow

The new Nano Arrow line of shafts from Stulz Golf Technologies are made using a patented triangular shape midway down each shaft. This three-edge spine disperses the loading, unloading and energy transfer for more control and less shot dispersion.

After two years in the making, Stulz Golf Technologies has introduced its new Stulz Nano Arrow shafts, which company officials describe as a breakthrough series of shafts employing a never-before-used triangular shape and nano technology.

The Nano Arrow shafts employ a patented mid-shaft triangular shape that officials said results in a better diffusion of load and energy transfer.

"The three-edge spine design offers tighter shot dispersion and a significant reduction in torque," said SGT President and CEO Joe White. "In fact, because of its unique design, we are able to produce some of the industry's lightest and strongest shafts."

Besides the unique triangular shape, the Nano Arrow employs nano manufacturing technology that eliminates the possibility of flaws, air pockets or voids in the shaft, officials said. Every shaft will be uniform, consistent, and held to exact standards, they said.

The Nano Arrow's three-edge spine design combats an inherent flaw in the single-spine design prevalent in most golf shafts.

The single-spine design places all of the loading and unloading along a single center-line of the shaft, causing torque to be increased at the center of percussion, officials explained. This creates energy loss on both solid hits and mis-hits.

The three-edge spine disperses the loading, unloading and energy transfer, Stulz officials said, thus creating more controlled results and less shot dispersion.

The Nano Arrow is available in five models for woods (Nano Arrow 50, Nano Arrow 65, Nano Arrow 80, Nano Arrow 90 and Nano Arrow 100), offering varying torque, flex and launch angle. The Nano Arrow Iron Series is available in three different flexes, and the Nano Arrow Hybrid Series is available in five different flexes.

Suggested retail for the Nano Arrow is $299 for the wood series, $160 for the hybrid series and $120 for the iron series.

The shafts are available through a network of certified Stulz retailers that includes golf professionals who are knowledgeable in club fitting, club fitters, club repair shops, selected off-course retailers and selected shaft retailers.
