MacGregor Golf is bringing V-FOIL technology to its new V-FOIL Tour and EZ OUT wedges. The V-Foil Tour wedges are designed for low-handicap players, said MacGregor Golf owner Barry Schneider. The EZ OUT wedges are designed for high-handicap players who would benefit from their exaggerated back weighting, which causes the trailing edge to hit the sand first for more successful sand shots. The V-FOIL Tour wedges, Schneider said, combine MacGregor's forged feel and playability with V-FOIL Technology to achieve optimal ball flight, spin and distance control. V-FOIL technology, according to Schneider, directs more mass low and deep behind the ball, optimizing center of gravity for easy, high ball flight and trajectory control. Schneider said the heavy cambered sole with rolled leading and trailing edges creates a continuous curved surface with reduced bounce, allowing for more open-face shot options. Finished with 100-percent brushed Satin-Nickel-Chrome for durability, V-FOIL Tour wedges (suggested retail price $149.99) are available in 52-, 56- and 60-degree lofts with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips. The EZ OUT's oversized back structure creates a totally forgiving wedge that forces the trailing edge to make first contact, cutting easily through sand and fluffy lies around the green. The wide radius sole, according to Schneider, glides through the sand and sets a low center of gravity for an easy, high launch. V-FOIL EZ OUT wedges (SRP $149.99) are available in 56- and 60-degree lofts with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips and finished with durable 100-percent brushed Satin-Nickel-Chrome.
