La Jolla Club Golf Company is going big with its new OS (Oversize) Irons.

"Our OS Irons are perfect for golfers who need a club that's extremely forgiving," said La Jolla Golf President Paul Herber. "The shaft innovations and head designs incorporated into these clubs make them incredibly easy to hit."

The OS Irons were designed to provide maximum forgiveness, higher ball flight and better control, Herber said.

They feature a wide sole design, placing as much weight below the ball as possible, and this low center of gravity, combined with lightweight steel or graphite shafts, creates a high launch angle to make shots go higher and farther.

The OS Irons are available in a set including 3-9 irons and a pitching wedge with a suggested retail price of $299. A 2-iron, sand wedge and gap wedge are also available individually.
